If I had to go back and do it again, or if you are thinking of doing something like this; not necessarily weight loss. What would I do. 1. Visualisation ???? – see what you want, be as clear about it as you can be. Yes you won’t have the finished article in your head from day 1 but that’s no problem, you can add to it as you go. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2. Be clear about Why – Are you happy with your life? If you continue this way what happens? If you fix up what could your life be? Who could you inspire? All difficult questions to answer, and not all of them will be the right ones for you. But you get the idea. Maybe work though them with a friend or someone who supports your vision for some extra perspective. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3. Go for the layup ???? – Small wins are always the best game plan. Can you start tracking your steps? Don’t stress about how many they should be. Can you keep a food diary, and note how you feel after eating? Can you log your water intake and sleep duration? Can you log your weight each morning? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 4. If you need help, ask. I can’t count how many coaches and mentors I’ve had from Mr Lind my Basketball coach in year 8 to @mattmillespt my mentor @upfitnesslive . In the photo on the left, I was sitting at around 300lbs. I had already lost 70lbs from my starting weight of 370+lbs and was happy to be able to actually see a number on the scale as opposed to the “ERR” message I was used to getting… ????. . Vor ca. 10 Jahren hat mein Arzt zu mir gesagt „sollte es Dein Ziel sein, mein jüngster Schlaganfall Patient zu werden, dann machst Du so weiter…!“ Damals hatte ich Übergewicht, einen Blutdruck von >200/100 und auch gerne mal n Weizen gestürzt. Aber auch da hat es noch lange nicht ‚klick‘ gemacht. Auch da hab ich noch gebraucht, bis ich mich aus der ‚das schaffe ich eh nie‘ Lethargie befreien konnte. Heute, ca. 10 Jahre später trinke ich keinen (quasi keinen) Alkohol, mache Sport, hab gute Blut- und Blutdruckwerte und fühle mich wie ein neuer Mensch. Lass Dir nie sagen, Du schaffst etwas nicht.
